WOVEN SONG: In conversation with Deborah Cheetham AO and Linda Britten

Tomorrow join Deborah Cheetham AO & Linda Britten in conversation about their collaboration to create gowns especially designed for Cheetham's ‘WOVEN SONG’ performances.
These gowns were created in response to the ATW tapestries designed by Indigenous artists including Brook Andrew, Daisy Andrews and Nanyuma Napangati for Australian Embassies and High Commissions in Singapore, Tokyo and New Delhi. Deborah and Linda will discuss the creative response to these tapestries through performance couture.

The gowns will be available for viewing in our current exhibition: WOVEN SONG Linda Britten Couture.
Wednesday 11 March 6 PM.

Explore 'WOVEN SONG' through an exhibition at the Australian Tapestry Workshop that features the magnificent gowns created by leading Melbourne couturier Linda Britten, especially for Deborah Cheetham's performances.

Accompanying the gowns are tapestry samples, fabric swatches, design sketches and a video documentary tracing the creation of 'WOVEN SONG's' world premiere of 'Catching Breath' at Esplanade Theatres on the Bay, Singapore.

Exhibition runs until 17 April 2020. Gallery hours: Tuesdays - Fridays, 10AM - 5PM.
